First Filming ( 28/01/08 )
Today was our first attempt at filming at our chosen location, which is Crystal Palace Park.
The day was rather windy and less sunny, which wasn't very ideal for us. But still, we decided to film anyway so we can have something to work on and to gain a quick insight into what it would be like to film under them conditions
Arriving at roughly 3pm , the sun was already setting so we had to get started very quick. Our first few attempts on a statue lion at the couple took quite awhile for the actors to get into the mood.
After the first the shots, everything went smoothly.
The atmosphere we was trying to achieve on the tape was a couple in total bliss. For that, the was a lot of smiles and relaxed posture in the scene. The sound wasn't taken into account much because this is a flashback scene, so it will be more important in the later scenes
We didn't get enough footage as we hoped, mainly due to the shortage of time we had with the weather. I think this problem will arise very much later on as a big part on our thriller is based on the lighting effects, so there will only be a limited time gap that we can film in.
However, what we have manage to shoot is enough for the flashback as it is only needed for a small part at the beginning, considering that we have a 2 minute limit to our thriller. There for, i think we manage our goal with that days shooting

JUST KEEP WALKING...
Plot:
Toan and Shuma have been together for a long time now. One day as they are walking through the forest, an argument arises and things go wrong. Ryan, being a typical boy, walks away from Sharma, so she is left standing by herself. What these two 'love birds' dont know is that there is someone watching them...waiting for them.
Characters:
Toan - girl
Shuma - boy
Stalker
Location:
Crystal Palace Park
Camera Techniques:
We will be using codes and conventions typical of the thriller genre, for example we will create an illusion of voyuerism through the shakey handheld camera effect and filming behind objects such as bushes, this gives a first persons point of view. There will be tracking shots of the park, close up shots of the characters (long shot of the stalker) and shot-reverse-shot between the girl and boy. There will be cut aways to give the audience more unanswered questions and to create enigmas. The story will end with a cliffhanger, giving the audience a reason to want to watch the rest of the film. You are left wondering....what next?
Target Audience:
Mainly teenagers, certificate 15
